BOARD OF DIRECTORS
TPL is led by a board of seasoned people. This includes Mr. Samuel Amo Tobbin who has over 20 years experience in business entrepreneurial, Mrs. Mercy Araba Sika Tobbin a seasoned business executive as well as Mr. Justice Essuman an experienced Administrator.
THE TPL TEAM
TPL has a workforce of approximately 380 people both full and part time.
The corporate management team comprises:
Executive Chairman/CEO, Managing Director, Financial Controller and four departmental heads who are well experienced, hardworking and committed personnel. The team also includes highly experience and technical professionals in credits and marketing as well as other key areas in pharmacy to safeguard and grow the company into shape.
Samuel A Tobbin, Executive Chairman of TPL has over 20 year experience in managing business. He has previously solely grown Tobinco Company Limited in General merchandises. As a business strategist and an entrepreneur Samuel Amo Tobbin, has been the engine which is growing this company from strength to strength.
He has undergone an extensive training in Finance, Management and Strategic Planning with hands on experience to run his business efficiently. He was recently nominated for an Honorary Doctorate Degree from a University in Denmark for his experience in Business Management and Strategy. He has a passion for the vulnerable and the needy in society. He is a family man married to Mrs. Mercy Tobbin with 3 lovely children.
Justice Essuman, Managing Director brings to TPL, huge experience in administration and marketing with 24 years of experience in managerial leadership. He has worked in international private firm and the automobile industry. His rich work exposure includes the predecessor to Nedda Motor Ltd and Overseas Union Ltd (Honda) as Sales &Marketing Director. He also worked with Auto Parts Ltd and Nichimen Corporation of Japan for periods 1984 to 2001.
He brings into TPL function extensive exposure in managing and marketing the products, providing corporate advisory services and structuring various packages for customers. He also has the responsibility for growth and development of the company.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration, H.S.T.C of Ghana, Diploma from Pan African Institute (AFRILEAD), and Diploma in International Marketing.
Isaac Obed Brown brings to the benefit of Tobinco, five years experience as an Accountant from Ghana Water & Sewerage Corporation, now Ghana Water Company and Hydro land Survey on the Keta Sea Defense Project.
Isaac is a partly qualified Certified Chartered Accountant with rich experience and knowledge in accounting and investment management. He is an assertive result oriented team player who has managed to bring the finances of Tobinco to an excellent shape for the past ten (10) years as Accounts Head and now the Financial Controller.
Naa Adokailey Akuorkor Amofa is the Human Resource Manager of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited. Coming into the position with about two (2) years experience in Office Management and Human Resource Management.
Though quiet young, she is a very vibrant and meticulous young lady who is driving the company’s human capital to great success.
She has a first degree in Linguistics and Spanish from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Human Resource from the Central University College Graduate School of Business.
Nathaniel Ofori is currently the Branch Operations Manager with Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited (TPL). He joined TPL from Centre for Development Partnerships formerly Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) where he worked in various management positions from October 1999 to September 2007. He worked with CDP as Finance & Administrative Manager and Grants Manager managing a $600,000.00 Beyond Aid Project. He also had the responsibility of building the capacity of local NGOs in book keeping and financial management.
Nathaniel began his carrier with an Accounting firm Compta Consult in 1994 where he trained and later worked as an Audit Senior until 1995. From Compta Consult, he joined Afariwaa Farms & Livestock Products Ltd in 1995 as an Accounts Manager and he subsequently headed the Accounts department until December 1997. Nathaniel also worked with Global Ensign limited from January 1998 to September 1999 as the Financial Accountant.
He is a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and partly qualified with Parts 3 and a certificate in taxation. He also has a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Methodist University College, Accra.
Ben Kpabi Tetteh is the Marketing & Development Manager. A Strategic Marketer with over twelve (12) years in Sales and Marketing, Mr. Tetteh prior to joining Tobinco, worked as Head of Sales & Marketing with Danadams Pharmaceuticals, Regional Manager at Kinapharma Ltd with special focus on brands activation and promotion.
Mr. Tetteh holds an MBA (Finance and Banking) from Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM), a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Marketing and a Member of the Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK).
Mr. Tetteh comes with a lot of experience to bear on the Ghanaian Pharmaceutical market in strategy formulation.AWARDS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Marketing man of the year 2010, Mr Samuel Amo Tobbin, CEO of Tobinco Pharmaceutical Group of companies and Marketing Woman of the year Mrs Doreen Owusu Fianko, CEO of Ghana Airports Company Limited after they were crowned with the award.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Group of Companies, Mr Samuel Amo Tobbin, has been named the Marketing Man of the Year 2010 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana at the 22nd National Marketing Performance Awards in Accra.Mrs Doreen Owusu-Fianko, CEO of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, was also adjudged the Marketing Woman of the Year 2010. The Marketing Practitioner of the Year Award 2010 went to Mr Adam Sulley, Executive Head, Retail Banking at the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), while Ms Yvonne Amma Manu Gyefour, a management trainee at Unilever Ghana, won the Marketing Student of the Year 2010 award.
The awards ceremony was held in Accra Saturday.
